First conceived by mother-daughter duo Judy Zimmer and Jocelyn Murray in 1996 and franchised in 2000, Bath Junkie now has 70 locations, with more scheduled to open within a year, and plans to expand to Northern Europe. Bath Junkie recently opened in Dillard's, Northwest Arkansas Mall, Fayetteville. Dillard's is the nation-wide department store with more than 300 locations. Bath Junkie has recently begun an environmental awareness initiative, offsetting 100% of its stores' electricity carbon emissions by purchasing renewable energy credits. This gesture is supporting the generation of clean energy and investing in a sustainable future. Bath Junkie was voted one of the best bath shops by the 2002 Arkansas Times readers' poll, 2003 "Best Bath Shop" in Texas Monthly Magazine, "Best Bodily Fluids" in the 2003 Dallas Observer Readers' Poll and was a featured store in the May 2005 issue of In Style Magazine. People are finally catching on!
